Extended Schools Provision
We are really pleased to confirm that we are able to offer the same extensive Breakfast, Afterschool, Activity and Twilight club provision as ever for the Spring Term 2026.
The aim of Henry Maynard Primary School’s Extended Provision is to provide affordable, safe and stimulating before and after school care and enrichment oportunities for our children that reflect our values of Community, Creativity and Ambition.
Many of your children’s existing favourite activity providers and our own school staff are signed up to run their clubs, and while places on activity clubs are capped, we do everything that we can to support everyone’s childcare needs.
We set high expectations for children's behaviour in our Breakfast and Afterschool Clubs and inform parents/carers promptly of any incidents that occur. We also reserve the right to take places away if children's behaviour doesn't meet school expectations. The safety, enjoyment and experience of all children is paramount here.
We’ve partnered with ClassForKids to provide you with an easy to use, modern and secure online booking system which can be accessed here henrymaynardprimary.class4kids.co.uk/login. Bookings are taken for a term at a time and paid for in advance. Once booked, you can download the ClassForKids App to see and manage your calendar of bookings.
After School, Stay & Play and Activity Clubs do not run on the last day of each term and on parents' evenings. Please check the Club Maps below carefully.
Booking Clubs for the Spring Term
The clubs@henrymaynard.waltham.sch.uk email will not be monitored over the Winter break, so please follow the timelines below:
- 1 December 9am - All Spring Term Breakfast Clubs available to book
- 1 December 7pm - Afterschool & Activity Clubs open to be booked a day at a time (Monday’s clubs on Monday, Tuesday’s clubs on Tuesday…)
- 12 December - Last day please for bookings or corrections before the Winter break To allow us to prepare registers and class lists for Spring Term
- 5 January INSET day - No Breakfast, Afterschool or Activity Clubs will be running
- 6 January - Breakfast Clubs, Afterschool and Activity Clubs begin for all children
- 25 February - No Afterschool, Activity or Twilight Clubs due to parents’ evenings
- 4 March - No Afterschool, Activity or Twilight Clubs due to parents’ evenings
- 27 March - School early closure - No Afterschool or Activity Clubs will be running
Breakfast Club - Spring Term
Our Breakfast Clubs are open every morning from 7:45am at both Maynard Road and Addison Road.
The children are looked after by our school staff who are well-known by all the children. Children are provided with healthy breakfast options and offered a choice of indoor activities. A place in our Breakfast Club for a particular day costs £7.50 a session for the Spring Term with places booked and paid for a complete term in advance. Afterschool Club - Spring Term
Our Afterschool Clubs run from the end of the school day until 4:50pm at Maynard Road and 5:00pm at Addison Road .
Children here are cared for by our school support staff. The session begins with a snack and playtime, followed by a free choice of indoor and outdoor activities and games. A place in our After School club for a particular day costs £10.00 a session for the Summer Term with places booked and paid for a complete term in advance. During booking window, Afterschool Club places can be booked here. Outside of this time, please email clubs@henrymaynard.waltham.sch.uk with any queries.

Reception Stay & Play Club - Spring Term
Our Stay & Play sessions for our Reception Children run from the end of the school day at Maynard Road until 4.50pm.
Children are cared for by our school support staff who know the children well. Here, children play and have access to a range of planned activities and social interactions that support their development. The session begins with a healthy snack, followed by free play and activities. A place in our Stay & Play club on a particular day costs £10.00 a session for the Spring Term with places booked and paid for a complete term in advance. Activity Clubs - Spring Term
Our Activity Clubs for Children in Years 1 to 6 run from the end of the school day until 4:50pm at Maynard Road and 5:00pm at Addison Road.
Activity clubs are run and coached by our own staff and external providers who offer a range of enrichment activities. This term Activity clubs available include Dodgeball, Drawing, Spoken Word Poetry, Coding & Robotics, Boxercies, Drama, Arts & Crafts, Football, Gardening, Eco Fashion, Netball, Basketball, Martial Arts, Yoga,....and much more. Sessions begin with a healthy snack before the activity begins. A place in our Activity Clubs cost £12 a session for the Spring Term with places booked and paid for a complete term in advance. On some days our Extended Schools Provision has more than 340 children in Breakfast, Afterschool and Activity Clubs. It may not be possible to get the activity club you want but our ambition here is to support everyone’s childcare needs.
