Computing
At Henry Maynard Primary School we are keen to ensure that our children learn to become independent, creative, safe and respectful digital citizens with a broad and transferrable skillset. Lessons are inspiring, engaging and encourage children to develop their skills beyond the classroom.
At the start of every year, the children will be enrolled in their own virtual (Google) classroom that runs alongside their own class; this is used to set tasks, enhance the class community and allow them to celebrate their learning with their classmates and families.
Pupils learn computing skills from the three recognised aspects of computing:
-Computer Science
-Digital Literacy (including a heavy emphasis on online safety)
-Information Technology
