Friends of Henry Maynard School (FOHMS) is an association of parents, community members, school alumni and teachers (PTA) that organise activities and raises funds for the benefit of our children at the Nursery, Maynard Road and Addison Road sites. It has been established for many years and forms an important part of the school’s interaction with the local community.
In the past FOHMS have:
Raised over £8000 to fund Forest School classes for all children
Spent £20,000 on laptops for classroom use and sent home during school closures to help families in need
Provided Tesco vouchers and hampers to support Henry Maynard families and helped run our food bank.
Collected essential furniture, books and other rsources donated to the school
Given the school £4000 for its Green School Project
Supported classroom activities and outings that otherwise would not have happened
Our wonderful FOHMs team have also recently been successful in their bid for the Wilderness Foundation garden, designed by Charlie Hawkes for the Chelsea Flower Show, to be relocated to Henry Maynard Primary. The garden will be installed over the Summer holidays...we cannot wait to see it! Click on the link below to read their successful bid.
